a. IT'S RED BEACUSE THE DUSTY SAND ON MARS IS RICH IN A CHEMICAL CALLED IRON OXIDE. AS THE MARTIAN WINDS BLOW FINE DUST INTO THE SKY, THE AIR AROUND MARS CAN APEAR TO BE PINK.
