On Thursday, July 31st, 2008, scientists discovered water on the planet Mars! They knew it was water because they heated up the ice and it melted at 0 degrees Celsius(32 degrees F). On August 2nd or 3rd, 2008, they figured out that because of the gases that evaporated out of the water, the water was very poisionous because of the chemicals in it.

I really think that is great! We now know there is water on MARS! I guess if it is poisonous we'd have to figure out a way to purify it if we ever go there and want a drink!
